East Java Police Chief Visits JIIPE Special Economic Zone to Review New Police Headquarters

Gresik, September 25, 2025 – East Java Regional Police Chief (Kapolda Jatim), Inspector General Drs. Nanang Avianto, conducted a working visit to the JIIPE Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Manyar District, Gresik Regency, on Thursday (September 25, 2025). The main agenda of the visit was to inspect the newly completed Police Headquarters building located within the strategic industrial and port area.

The Police Chief arrived at the JIIPE office at around 11:50 AM and was welcomed by JIIPE President Director, Bambang Soetiono, along with members of the management team, Gresik Police Chief AKBP Rovan Richard Mahenu, and key officials from the Gresik Police Department.

The Kapolda was accompanied by several key officials from the East Java Regional Police, including Irwasda Polda Jatim Kombes Pol Ary Satriyan, Karolog Polda Jatim Kombes Pol Dirmanto, Karo SDM Kombes Pol Ari Wibowo, Dir Pam Obvit Kombes Pol Widiatmoko, and Head of Public Relations Kombes Pol Jules Abraham Abast.

From JIIPE’s side, attendees included Retired Police Inspector General Dr. Toni Harmanto as JIIPE Advisor, Imam Johan (Finance Director of JIIPE), and Hatiyanto from JIIPE’s Legal Division.

This visit reflects the strong synergy between the Indonesian National Police and companies operating within JIIPE, aimed at ensuring security and smooth operations within the integrated industrial and port area.

Following the welcoming session, Inspector General Nanang Avianto and his entourage toured the JIIPE Police Headquarters, which is now ready for operation. He expressed hope that the facility would soon be operational to provide optimal police services for both the community and industrial tenants in the area.

“The establishment of a police office within this special economic zone is expected to be at the forefront of delivering safety and excellent public service for both the community and businesses,” said East Java Police Chief Inspector General Drs. Nanang Avianto.

Echoing this sentiment, Gresik Police Chief AKBP Rovan Richard Mahenu reaffirmed the police department’s commitment to maintaining public order and security, particularly within JIIPE — one of the largest investment zones in East Java.

With the new police headquarters in operation, public safety and service quality in JIIPE are expected to improve significantly, further strengthening a secure, orderly, and competitive investment climate within the Special Economic Zone.
