Surabaya, October 2, 2025 – East Java continues to strengthen its position as a key driver of Indonesia’s national economy. During the first semester of 2025, the province recorded Rp 74.69 trillion in realized investment from 73,148 projects, contributing 7.9% of the national total and creating over 130,000 job opportunities.
Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa officially opened Jatim Fest 2025 on Wednesday (October 1) at the Grand City Surabaya Exhibition Mall. The festival, held from October 1–5, commemorates the 80th Anniversary of East Java Province under the theme “Resilient East Java, Growing East Java.”
In her opening remarks, Governor Khofifah stated:
“This forum marks the revival of East Java’s strength and growth.”
As part of the Jatim Fest celebration, the East Java Provincial Government presented the Investment Award 2025 to outstanding investors. In the Domestic Investment (PMDN) category, PT Berkah Kawasan Manyar Sejahtera (JIIPE SEZ) proudly received 2nd place, with the award presented by Governor Khofifah and accepted by JIIPE’s Finance Director, Ifan Johar Kuswahyudi.
As a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) focused on Technology and Manufacturing spanning approximately 3,000 hectares, JIIPE SEZ has achieved over Rp 87 trillion in total realized investment by Q1 2025, including Rp 10 trillion in foreign investment commitments.
Supported by a –16 LWS deep-sea port, direct toll access, and railway connectivity, JIIPE serves as a strategic logistics hub that enhances East Java’s industrial competitiveness.
The growing investment within JIIPE has created thousands of jobs, strengthened local supply chains, and delivered a significant multiplier effect for both regional and national economic growth.
Through this recognition, JIIPE SEZ reaffirms its commitment to developing a modern, sustainable, and world-class industrial estate, aligning with East Java’s vision as Indonesia’s economic locomotive.
