The Ports Estate (JIIPE) industrial estate in Manyar, Gresik, is a port that is able to accommodate more than Tanjung Perak's capacity. The Java Integrated Industrial and Ports Estate (JIIPE) industrial estate is located in Manyar District, Gresik. The high level of loading and unloading currents at the Port of Tanjung Perak, Surabaya is an initial idea for JIIPE Development in the Industrial Zone, Gresik. JIIPE Industrial Estate has the aim of providing direct seaport services to the Industrial Estate, to minimize logistics costs, as before when the seaport was located far from the Industrial Estate.
JIIPE industrial estate also acts as a multi-port marine service to serve container shipping, general cargo, cars / vehicles, dry and liquid bulk.
In 2014, the realization of the JIIPE project entered the stage of development and provision of basic infrastructure such as access roads, docks, and energy needs which include electricity and water. The access road or connecting road is made along the 6.5 kilometer starting from the shoreline around Kali Mireng to the border area of Manyar-Bungah.
The Jiipe industrial area is equipped with energy access, railroad tracks and road access. This is the first integrated industrial estate 4 development project in Indonesia where there is a real estate industry with a deep sea port with a depth of 16 meters.
East Java Industrial Estate JIIPE is the largest industrial estate in East Java as well as the first integrated industrial estate in Indonesia which has been equipped with ports and docks for yachts and housing with an environmentally friendly industrial area, named GEM City, with various exclusive facilities, such as golf courses and shopping centers within the industrial estate.
