Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) together with the government is increasingly aggressively expanding the use of natural gas in various sectors. One sector that is now the main focus of the widespread use of natural gas is the industrial sector, as found in the East Java Industrial Zone, JIIPE.
As a model of the third generation industrial estate which since the beginning of its development has received praise from various parties, the East Java Industrial Estate JIIPE has used natural gas as its main energy source.
In this regard, PGN is optimistic that East Java Industrial Zone JIIPE is very capable of contributing to the distribution of natural gas benefits that are more environmentally friendly and affordable. This is because the demand for natural gas in the East Java Industrial Zone JIIPE will continue to increase as more factories join.
East Java Industrial Estate JIIPE itself is the largest industrial estate in East Java as well as the first integrated industrial estate in Indonesia which has been equipped with ports and docks for cruise ships. Besides that, East Java Industrial Estate JIIPE also has an environmentally friendly independent city concept, named GEM City, in which there are various exclusive facilities, such as golf courses and shopping centers.
