Dry Cargo Dominates 25% Increase in Ship Flow at JIIPE East Java Industrial Zone Harbor

East Java Industrial Park JIIPE is an industrial area that has been integrated with a port that has four docks. PT Berlian Manyar Sejahtera (BMS) as the port manager in the East Java Industrial Park JIIPE confirmed that there was a 25% increase in the performance of ship flows until November last year. This figure is higher than the increase that occurred in the same period in 2018.

In addition to the increase in ship flow at the East Java Industrial Park JIIPE port, the flow of goods also increased by more than 1.1 million tons, equivalent to 16.7%. In this case, the flow of goods is dominated by dry cargo, including wheat, salt, clinker, and fertilizer.

The dominance of the dry load occurs because the East Java Industrial Park JIIPE consists of many factories which are involved in the semi-finished goods sector which will be processed into finished goods.
