According to the Minister of Industry, a port integrated with the East Java Industrial Zone JIIPE can be a magnet for companies to build factories in the region.
This is because the port integrated with the East Java Industrial Zone JIIPE is considered capable of increasing efficiency and cutting logistical costs by up to 20%. The existing port within the East Java Industrial Zone JIIPE is the result of cooperation with Pelindo III.
The collaboration provides significant benefits for the East Java Industrial Zone JIIPE in terms of infrastructure, savings in production costs, and ease of licensing.
