In the midst of the global economic crisis, the economic sector in Indonesia actually still has great potential in spurring competitiveness in the industrial sector, not least in JIIPE East Java Industrial Estate. This condition is caused by the increase in investment and manufacturing productivity in the industrial sector in Indonesia, including in the East Java Industrial Zone, JIIPE, which has a positive effect on increasing the value of exports and the added value of raw materials.
According to data released by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the processing industry in Indonesia has an upward trend in 2018. This has led to an increase in the national industry's added value, including in the East Java Industrial Zone of JIIPE, to reach USD 34 billion.
One of the industrial estates that is feeling the positive impact is the East Java Industrial Estate, JIIPE, which received two new tenants last year. This year, JIIPE Industrial Estate in East Java is targeting that the sale of 30 hectares of industrial land can even increase as investor interest is increasing.
East Java Industrial Estate JIIPE itself is the largest industrial estate in East Java as well as the first integrated industrial area in Indonesia which has been equipped with ports and docks for cruise ships and housing with the concept of an environmentally friendly independent city, named GEM City, with various exclusive facilities, such as the field golf and shopping center.
