This was stated by Public Relations of PT BKMS Mifti Haris, to rectify different perceptions about KEK in the JIIPE Industrial Estate which is in the process of being submitted to the Government. In accordance with the government's long-term plan, in improving the national economy.
"During this time, there has been a misunderstanding in some parts of the community regarding the definition of KEK. Thus, the existence of the KEK they value will complicate employment. Even though this is not the case, "he said, Thursday (1/16).
"According to Law No. 29 of 2009, KEK is an area with a certain limit. In the framework of the territory of the Republic of Indonesia, which is determined to carry out economic functions and obtain certain facilities, "he said.
"The development of KEK aims to accelerate regional development and as a breakthrough capital in developing regions for economic growth. Because inside there, industry, tourism and trade in one region in order to accelerate employment, "he said.
"In KEK, businesses can establish, run and develop businesses. In fact, to support the growth and development of businesses in KEK which will eventually be followed by economic growth around KEK.
Asked why JIIPE deserves to be designated as KEK, Mifti explained that KEK would bring a very positive impact and prospects for business development and quality of human resources (HR). Especially if JIIPE is designated as a technology KEK, it is expected to accommodate local human resources to be able to compete with global human resources.
"To prepare quality human resources, can be done through vocational education (VE) in a number of educational institutions by including a curriculum that links and matches with the existing industry.
"For example, if there are many Schools or Islamic Boarding Schools (Ponpes) around JIIPE or Manyar areas, the curriculum can be added / arranged to suit the needs of the industry. Thus the supply of human resources is guaranteed its development. So, Gresik can become a center of excellence of industry 4.0 on a national scale, "he said.
"VE can be cooperated between the world of Education with the world of industry through the JIIPE CSR program, Area Managers and industry / tenants which will then be synergized with the Gresik Regency Government program in its implementation. As for facilities, it will be assisted by the central government in the form of curriculum management education and teaching staff so that it can be operated effectively, "he explained.
"Through VE in the world of high school level education as well as higher education, the benefits will be obtained by the region. Among them, accelerating industrial development and regional infrastructure, absorbing labor and increasing regional GDP, "he explained.
"The most important thing is that technology-based KEK will limit the entry of low skilled labor, which comes from abroad. Thus the development of the component industry in Gresik and its surroundings will be faster. So it will create a multipliar effect to the surrounding area, "he concluded
