As one of the companies involved in the JIIPE East Java Industrial Estate mega project cooperation, PT AKR Corporindo Tbk or AKRA remains confident that the financial performance in the East Java Industrial Zone JIIPE remains stable amid the uncertainties created by the Corona outbreak.
Although the Corona virus is very influential on the economic and industrial sectors in Indonesia, as emphasized by the Minister of Industry, AKRA remains optimistic that the East Java Industrial Zone of JIIPE can record good financial performance in the first quarter of 2020. AKRA actually said that the Corona virus had a positive impact on the coal sector in Indonesia, which had recorded a doubling in exports to China.
East Java Industrial Estate JIIPE itself is the largest industrial estate in East Java as well as the first integrated industrial area in Indonesia which has been equipped with ports and docks for cruise ships and housing with the concept of an environmentally friendly independent city, named GEM City, with various exclusive facilities, such as the field golf and shopping center.
