Through his visit to the JIIPE East Java Industrial Estate in August last year, East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa stated that he intends to prepare large numbers of workers to be absorbed by companies in the East Java Industrial Zone JIIPE by matching the specific skills needed.
Specific skills referred to here are special skills that must be possessed by workers to work in certain companies. Through matching specific skills, Khofifah emphasized that the government could prepare and map the workforce preparation program in accordance with needs.
JIIPE East Java Industrial Estate, in this case, also supports the efforts made by the Governor of East Java by urging the companies in it to use local labor and is committed to absorb 83% of the local workforce from the total workforce in the industrial area.
This commitment was realized by JIIPE East Java Industrial Estate through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with several surrounding villages, namely Manyarejo Village, Manyar Sidorukun Village, and Manyar Sidomukti Village.
JIIPE East Java Industrial Estate is the largest industrial estate in East Java as well as the first integrated industrial estate in Indonesia which has been equipped with ports and docks for yachts and housing with an independent city-friendly concept with various exclusive facilities, such as golf courses and shopping centers.
