Step 1: Planning and Organization
In this step the JIIPE industrial estate prepares a clean production plan, vision, mission and strategy. Target Clean Production opportunities associated with the business and commitment from top management. The industrial sector in the industrial area also identified obstacles and their solutions, identified outside resources that provided information and Cleaner Production experts.
Step 2: Study and Identify Opportunities
Do a process mapping or make a process flow chart as a tool to understand the flow of materials, energy and sources of waste generation in industrial areas. The identification of Clean Production opportunities is based on the findings of the results of studies and field reviews in the form of the possibility of increasing efficiency and productivity, preventing and reducing waste generation directly from its source in the industrial area.
Step 3: Feasibility Analysis and Priority Determination
Determine the Clean Production options for industrial estates, based on profits (costs incurred and income / savings earned), risks faced, level of commitment. Conduct an environmental, technological and economic feasibility analysis.
Step 4: Implementation
Make a time plan for implementation in a konket and plan of action taken. Determine the person in charge of the implementation program and allocate the necessary resources. Furthermore the industrial estate implements the program and emphasizes to employees that Cleaner Production is part of the work, encouraging their initiative as implementation feedback.
Step 5: Monitoring, Feedback, Modifications
Each industry in the industrial area collects and compares data before and after the Cleaner Production action is used to measure the performance achieved, whether in accordance with the design or not.
Step 6: Continuous Improvement
Equally important is celebrating success, maintaining the targets achieved, and then implementing them for other opportunities. Cleaner Production is basically part of the work and not a program so that industries in the industrial area will make continuous improvements.
